New Front End

I previously had some Amazon Nilight lights on the front bumper but was never a huge fan. They were cheap, but they also looked and operated like they were cheap, too. I tried a new brand, which are marginally more expensive, but are nothing like the cost of Rigid, Baja Designs, or similar.

Here’s the full list of new items (with links):

On the bumper, I installed 2 sets. I also added a pair as replacement for my old ditch lights, which were also Nilight. For both sets, I ordered the normal color and added two layers of amber window tint. Appears to be amber-ish, but the actual color leans yellow. These look much nicer.

Below the bumper, I installed a 32” light bar, which is connected to the fog light switch in the cab. I added the amber tint myself here as well and it was a nightmare. Would never do this again. It’s mildly helpful in snow, but it’s nowhere near as powerful as the four spotlights on the bumper. This is also Nilight, so I might just need to swap brands.

The grill lights are sweet. Really sweet. These lights come in a series of 3, but with a front-facing camera installed, that makes for an odd installation. I purchased two sets and now have all (6) of the slots filled with lights, except for the center one. Huge fan!

Another post is soon to follow that has some other lighting overhauls, so stay tuned.
